According to lawmakers who spoke with Crump, a lobbyist allegedly pressured legislators to oppose the bill while implying he was acting on behalf of the NRA.

I was looking at NRA-ILA, and could find no mention of the W. VA machine gun bill. Nothing. And when I search the main NRA website,

However, when Crump contacted NRA leadership directly, they reportedly confirmed that the individual in question has not worked for the NRA for several years, and that NRA is not opposed to the bill.

Let’s remember the NRA lobbied for the National Firearms Act and the Hughes Amendment. So even if the lobbyist wasn’t working on behalf of the NRA, this still is in keeping with the historical position of NRA on machine guns. There’s also clear difference between not being opposed to something and actually supporting it. And the apparent total lack of mention of the bill by NRA on its websites is telling.

Personally, when I first read about the West Virginia machine gun bill I had some mixed feelings. Namely, do we want the government to have another list of gun owners? But after some more consideration, the states have armed the Militia in the past. And since our federal government is run by a cult of zionist, devil worshiping, pedophilic cannibals, who are hell bent on starting WW3, I’ve changed my mind. This bill needs to be passed and turned into law. And all other states need to do the same.
