NRA Foundation Statement

This is strange. NRA Foundation issues a statement and as I read it, they’re trying to distance themselves from NRA (NY).

NRA director John Richardson has his thoughts here.

The NRA Foundation can legally be involved politically, provided it follows some rules, so Tom King saying, The NRA Foundation is not part of the NRA’s organizational or financial structure. Its role is educational, charitable, and safety-focused – not political or advocacy-driven. Makes no sense. If there’s some issue, where Foundation money could make a difference, and can do so legally, why not? And, “educational, charitable and safety focused” sounds similar to some of these recent anti 2A “gun safety training” programs.

Why only, preserving America’s shooting and hunting traditions for future generations? What about the self and common defense? The Militia isn’t an American tradition and duty? So why is the Foundation posting it’s statement to The Tactical Wire anyway? It clearly doesn’t believe in anything “tactical”. Why not a website with a broader reach and not so “tactical”?

The part about transparency is a down right lie. Just try contacting them. And with this apparent distancing, how can the Foundation still be headquartered in the NRA HQ building?

Oh well, no one can shoot themselves in the foot like the NRA.

Equip, train, pray and never disarm.
