2A White Rook

A blog on 2A matters

MN GOP/Booze/Car/Gun

Engen stated that both passengers had been drinking, but the report does not indicate that Hudson was given a breath test, and no charges were filed. Hudson’s firearm was taken for safekeeping and logged into evidence.

Walter Hudson’s a big deal in MN GOP. He had/has a talk show on Twin Cities conservative talk radio. He’s a mover.

Minnesota law prohibits permit holders from carrying a firearm with a blood alcohol concentration above 0.04.

I wonder if these two hadn’t been politicians, would the man in the shotgun seat have been given a breathalyzer? Hudson wasn’t. And I don’t see how having had a couple drinks in and of itself is grounds for confiscating arms. It would be interesting to see body cam footage of him. Was he staggering? Slurring? Unable to handle it?

Of course people who can’t make the right decisions for themselves shouldn’t be making decisions for others. They both should resign from office.

Equip, train, pray and never disarm.
