Is NRA “eating their Wheaties”?

I don’t see anything to be excited about. NRA 2.0 refuses to follow the bylaws- they’re not allowed to have an “executive vice president & chief executive officer”. https://2awhiterook.com/can-nra-have-a-evp-ceo/ The top brass insists they need the “CEO” part. When I say, “then amend the bylaws”, 2nd V.P. Marshall tells me, that’s a “good suggestion”. https://2awhiterook.com/nras-2nd-v-p-marshall-says-amending-bylaws-is-a-good-suggestion/ It’s “good suggestion” to follow and amend the bylaws… Gee whiz. And he’s the Second V.P. and a “reformer”?

To be fair President Bachenberg did say the board would be discussing amending the bylaws at upcoming meetings. But, the EVP&CEO problem goes back at least to the Wayne LaPierre era, this violation is nothing new.

Then we have DEI. DEI has infected the NRA Board Of Directors Nominating Committee. Did you know “minorities” are a “skill” according to the Nominating Committee and it’s Chairman Buz Mills of Gunsite Academy fame? https://2awhiterook.com/nra-nominating-committee-says-minorities-are-particularly-desired/

So instead of focusing on nominating people based on merit, character, you know, the things that actually matter, the NRA’s instituting racism or is it DEI? I know what it is, it’s racism. Now, we have some good news, there’s one NRA director who’s attempting to do some positive work, specifically in Virginia for their state election, Dennis Fusaro, who’s got a pretty solid plan, which David Codrea wrote about, https://2awhiterook.com/can-nra-organize-in-va/

Look at all that hardware! Guns- I think I counted (26) guns in total, safes, hunts, jet ski, grill, binoculars, cleaning kits, Bluetooth speakers, coolers, pontoon boat, crossbow, motorcycle, Ford Explorer, a fishing boat… Is that everything?

Given the NRA’s decades long issues with corruption, I can’t help but wonder, how is this all acquired? Was it donated by retailers and manufacturers and the hunts donated by guides? Did NRA pay for it all? Are there rules for how officers, directors, employees handle these “sweepstakes” items? Was everything above board or was there some under the table deals struck? There should be rules, if there isn’t any, and those rules should be made available for membership to read on NRA’s website.

It would be nice, if NRA instead of wasting money on nonsense sweepstakes, would instead spend money on NRA director Dennis Fusaro’s idea on how to put a pro 2A governor in the Virginia governors mansion and to keep the other state offices Republican and not Marxist. It’s a very good plan, but it’s apparently up to Tom King who’s NRA Foundation boss, to approve it, but he’s suing Oliver North and using Bill Brewer’s law firm to do it… https://2awhiterook.com/tom-king-holds-nra-committee-assignment/

These are just a few current issues NRA’s facing. One article from their website isn’t enough. When you dig in beneath the P.R., you’ll see the NRA’s a hot mess. There’s still not a functioning member to director email system for crying out loud. Zero transparency. Racist DEI policies on the Nominating Committee. A Foundation which no one seems to understand. And a massive sweepstakes… And one director with a solid pro 2A get out the vote organizing plan for the state of Virginia which is up to Tom King to approve…

So has NRA been “eating their Wheaties”?
