Now you may remember a recent post I did about the NRA’s Nominating Committee saying minorities are “particularly desired”… https://2awhiterook.com/nra-nominating-committee-says-minorities-are-particularly-desired/ Well it looks like GOA is charging right along in the DEI foot steps of the NRA.
So in order to strengthen the 2A movement, we need to focus on race? Has GOA, not figured out, that focusing on race is a tool of the Marxists, to divide and conquer?“I am proud to be part of Gun Owners of America as an Afro-Latina raised in Puerto Rico. GOA says, For millions of Hispanic Americans, it represents a powerful shield against the tyranny But doesn’t the Second Amendment act as a shield against tyranny for us all, regardless of race? What about bitter clinging white guys… Oh yeah those hicks never matter, silly me. What’s next will GOA form a “BLM Pro 2A”? What about Orientals, Indians, Arabs, etc, how’s GOA going to pander to them?… See my point? The danger of the divided American. We can’t have that.
GOA says, The right to self-defense has no language, If that’s so, then why, if the United States Constitution and in particular its Second Amendment are written in English, why does GOA use a Spanish word, “fuerza” for this new racial pandering scheme? The English word “strength” just doesn’t cut it for pandering to the Hispanics? Do they know Brazilians speak Portuguese and not Spanish? Do they know Puerto Rico is an American territory? Americans… Well we used to all speak English. And why is the “proud… Afro-Latina”, only focused on her Hispanic ancestry if she’s part black? At least she gave her black relatives a worthy mention, so I guess the blacks got thrown a bone, sorta. And “Latina”… Is there any better example of DEI feminism than “Latina”?
Then GOA says, Fuerza 2A is another arrow in GOA’s quiver to fight gun control, and we are proud to launch it at GOALS 2025.” So racial pandering is a “arrow” in a “quiver to fight gun control”… Right. Could the Indians view “arrow” and “quiver” as cultural appropriation?… Just a thought since the 2A movement is so hyper focused on DEI at the moment.
Because States like California, New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, and Florida have large populations of freedom-loving Hispanic Americans that means instead of talking to various demographics as Americans, GOA must instead speak to them in Spanish with an emphasis on race? The issue is not race, but culture. Can you imagine GOA doing a “White Guys For 2A”? Noooooo that’d be racist! But they can do a Hispanics only pandering club? How’s that kosher?
Why do conservatives demonize the left for pandering to certain races, aka DEI one day, then the next the same conservatives do the same racial pandering themselves? What the hell is a conservative? Well that’s a question for another day.
Stop focusing on race. It’s culture that matters.
And GOA, until you get new leadership and a serious policy change, beginning with the termination of DEI, you’ve completely lost my support.
Equip, train, pray and never disarm.
