MPR reports that Minnesota’s Bureau of Criminal Apprehension received more than 8,200 permit to carry applications last month; an increase of 74% compared to January 2025. I suspect that for many liberals in the Twin Cities, getting and carrying a firearm has become as much or more a symbolic act of defiance than a practical step towards being able to protect themselves from harm.

As Cam mentions there’s a difference between being an activist and merely exercising your rights. For instance how many in your family, your friends, etc, who shoot and hunt are active in the 2A cause? Clearly life long “liberals”, “Democrats”, especially prostitutes and strippers are not likely to take a sudden interest in advocating for natural rights. That’s rights from God.

And worth mentioning is how many gunowners realize NICS and the 4473 are massive infringements? How many gunowners realize “needing” a permit to carry is another massive infringement? Do they know about, and have they wondered how ATF assembled it’s national gun registry? (NICS/4473). Lists always lead to confiscation.
