So GOA went creaming their pants over Trump,
To now being, quoting from a GOA email,
this is frustrating.
For the third time since President Trump took office, GOA is back in court fighting one of his agencies.
Don’t get me wrong – the Trump administration has delivered some huge wins for gun owners. From rolling back Biden-era regulations to appointing pro-Second Amendment judges, they’ve been a breath of fresh air.
But when it comes to making our legal victories permanent, we can’t let anyone – not even our allies – stall real progress.
They list a few other things,
Here’s what we’re fighting:
- Michigan CCW Permits: We sued Biden’s ATF for interfering with concealed carry holders. While the Trump DOJ issued a temporary fix, it’s NOT permanent. A future Kamala Harris administration could wipe it out overnight.
- “Engaged in the Business” Rule:We secured an injunction blocking Biden’s scheme to force every private sale through a background check. But the DOJ is dragging its feet on withdrawing their appeal – an appeal that, if dropped, we believe could lead to a permanent victory in court.
- Zero Tolerance Policy:This Biden-era nightmare crushed small gun dealers and revoked hundreds of FFL licenses. While Trump’s ATF recently repealed this abusive policy (thanks to pressure from GOA), they’re trying to dismiss our lawsuit as “moot” rather than locking in permanent protections.
Maybe instead of tripping over each other to see who could fawn over Trump the most, 2A groups, all of them, not just GOA, should’ve been demanding from the start that Trump and the GOP advance pro 2A legislation, executive orders, pardons (Tate Adamiak), litigation, prosecution(Of those who murdered Brian Malinowski, etc) and torching the ATF’s national gun registry, as opposed to being somehow surprised when the man who hired “Red Flag” Bondi for Attorney General and said, “take the guns first”,
Ends up being, NOT pro Second Amendment in his second term. Now GOA says this is “frustrating”… Yeah, who ever saw that coming, that Trump would need “encouragement” to do right on 2A matters? Remember bump stock bans? The above mentioned red flag laws? The three milquetoast Supreme Court appointees? His announcement that Bondi would be Attorney General should’ve been the first clue, that he hadn’t learned from previous 2A blunders.
When I asked GOA what their position was on machine guns and they never responded, now that was FRUSTRATING, https://2awhiterook.com/where-2a-groups-stand-on-machine-guns-update/
Remember, no government wants an armed citizenry.
Equip, train, pray and never disarm.
