I got Robert K. Brown’s email, I somehow ended up on his email list, with his endorsements for NRA director nominations. But strangely, his email is a forwarded email of his own endorsements sent to him, by a Jerry Kraus. Puzzled? Me too.
First, what do I know about these men? Not much. As for Brown, I know he’s a former NRA director and he’s against the RICO lawsuit, as am I, it appears to be more and more an avenue for four plaintiffs to make tens or even hundreds of millions of dollars, off of NRA members dues/donations. And I’ve not gotten any satisfactory answers from the lead plaintiff. https://2awhiterook.com/nra-rico-news-update-clarification/ https://2awhiterook.com/nra-rico-lawsuit-i-believe-the-latest-version/ https://2awhiterook.com/rico-vs-nra-update-nra-in-danger/ RICO appears to be one big massive six or seven year long foul up with the small potential for a few, to make lots of money. So I agree with Brown that RICO’s bad.
The rest I know about him is from wacky-pedia, yeah I know, leftward slant is guaranteed, but https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_K._Brown According to wacky-pedia, Brown’s 92, and will be 93 when the next NRA directors elections occurs.
Now I’m gonna take heat for this, but if he’s really 92, and will be 93 when the elections occur, I say he’s too old. Recently, whether it’s the NRA or politicians, we’ve all seen what old age does. I think Robert K. Brown should stay retired.
Randy Luth owns Luth AR. I know when Dell’Aquila raised a holler years ago, Luth was one of those who pledged not to donate to NRA. https://www.csmonitor.com/USA/Politics/2019/1011/NRA-troubles-A-hunter-targets-the-world-s-most-powerful-gun-lobby…
“I’m not donating another dime to the NRA until Wayne LaPierre and all of his cronies are out of there,” says Randy Luth, a gun industry veteran and NRA donor whose St. Cloud, Minnesota-based company makes accessories for AR-15s. “Nobody is watching the piggy bank. Everyone is getting fat off the hard-earned dollars of NRA members.”
I know Steve Schreiner is a current NRA director and has not been responsive to my emails, and I’m not talking about the non-functioning, or non-existing member to director email system, overseen by the Sec. Frazer, whom was found to be guilty of falsifying statements on NRA documents, https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/nra-trial-verdict-rcna138827,
Frazer is the only individual defendant who still works for the NRA. The jury determined that Frazer made or authorized a false statement in the NRA’s annual filings, but that there is no cause to remove him from his post.
I have Schreiner’s personal email address, which probably annoys the hell out of him. But that’s how I know he’s been unresponsive to my concerns.
And Charles Brown, ran and withdrew last time, I’m not sure why. But he’s gotten sued in the past, he owns MKS Supply which, https://www.cleveland.com/metro/2012/10/ohio_maker_of_hi-point_firearm.html https://www.ammoland.com/2019/05/attempted-undermining-of-lawful-commerce-in-arms-act-williams-v-beemiller/ The lawsuit against him was eventually dismissed, so it appears.
The rest of the guys on Robert Brown’s list, I don’t know, and I’m not looking into them any further. I find it difficult to see how continuing to vote for a 76 seat board, will accomplish anything, when the board should be what the corporate average is, 12 directors at MOST. The biggest source of failure at NRA is the size of the board. Shrink the size of the board, and we may see progress. But keep it at 76, and nope. Too big. Too many people. Too many personality conflicts. Too many honest disagreements which lead to zero agreements. Too many ways to hide corruption. Plus don’t forget current NRA president Bachenberg said in the “townhall” there’s 111 non directors holding committee assignments. 111! https://2awhiterook.com/nra-townhall-or-crummy-commercial/ So I won’t be signing any petitions and I won’t be voting, all that accomplishes is to perpetuate this colossal train wreck.
Here’s the email,
