MN 2A Update 2-26-26

MN Gun Owners Caucus has a site where you can see what’s happening in the legislature, here. It’s well laid out, and worth a look. Thank God that for the moment, the anti 2A bills are stalled. But don’t get complacent.

I found a statist/Fudd piece on Bearing Arms about MN.

I’m still not cool with the idea that they should be armed to protect themselves from federal agents enforcing decades-old laws that wouldn’t require this kind of federal response if the locals picked up the phone when they arrested an illegal, but here we are just the same.

There’s so many problems here. Waco? Ruby Ridge? Brian Malinowski? Tate Adamiak? Did he forget about all that? And more? Why would people be nervous about Trump’s ICE? Maybe because they can ignore the 4th Amendment and sign their own warrants? Has he not heard of the Posse Comitatus Act? After all, why would anyone want a militarized national police force? Militaries are trained to kill, not to police. Just ask Alex Pretti, who was disarmed and then shot in the back as he sat on the ground, by Trump’s ICE/Border Patrol. And remember what they all said? He was a “domestic terrorist”, because he’d carried a gun.

Serious people are concerned about the methods employed by Trump’s ICE and Border Patrol. Serious people also know that the right to keep and bear arms comes from God and applies to all, even those who have some cooky opinions. The writer of the Bearing Arms piece however, is not serious.

Equip, train, pray and never disarm.
