Nothing Surprising For Elections

The Minnesota state Senate will remain the same. It had lost a Republican and a Democrat, and gained one of each in these two special elections. Even if Fateh wins the Minneapolis mayoral race, and resigns the state Senate, his district will replace him with another Democrat. So even then, Dems will remain in control of the Minnesota Senate.

There’s some interesting coverage of the Minneapolis mayors race, here. Fateh got less votes than Frey, yet notice Fateh’s photo leads to Frey’s. And the two photos of supporters are Fateh’s supporters, not even one of Frey’s. Minneapolis has ranked choice voting, so they have to make “winning” and “losing” an election complicated. Fateh might “win”, even though Frey has the most first round votes. Interesting too that MPR leans in Fateh’s favor when Tampon Tim endorsed Frey.

Virginia, New Jersey, and New York City… None of it was really a surprise. Obviously New York City was going to elect a Democrat, and it seemed pretty clear all along which Democrat they’d pick. New Jersey likes Democrats, so I wasn’t surprised a Dem won for their governor. The Republican had a “prag” approach to the Second Amendment, so that puts an obvious damper on his support from the 2A crowd.

Then Virginia… Trump didn’t care. NRA didn’t care. 2A groups in general didn’t care. And since Sears was down about 500,000 votes, some will say that even if NRA had approved of director Dennis Fusaro’s get out the vote plan, it wouldn’t have mattered. But is that true? What if NRA had been actively involved? What if Trump had been involved? A Trump rally makes noise, gets peoples attention. And if 2A groups, NRA and others got involved, that would’ve made noise, gotten attention even from people who are not gun owners. Then of course what about the gun owners themselves? Did they vote? I guess we’ll have to wait to see if they did or not. Remember Fusaro had identified 80,000 pro-gun voters who vote in presidential election years but not in off year elections.

Virginia no doubt was effected by the federal government layoffs, and many of those employees live in Virginia, lots of Dem anger there. Then you have all those employees effected by the shut down. More Dem anger.

Then of course, how the brainwashing people get in government indoctrination camps, AKA public schools, and then the colleges. Plus cultural terra-forming from open borders, plays a massive role. Ever hear of California? That’s happening nation wide. People shake their heads about Minnesota and New York, but watch out, it’s coming to your backyard soon. No amount of racist/DEI “outreach” from NRA and GOA is going to change the fact that immigrants don’t care about the Second Amendment, and when they vote, they vote Democrat. Immigrants don’t have a centuries long tradition of civilian arms ownership and an equally long hatred for a government monopoly on violence because… Only America has that.

And of course what about the GOP and the man at the top, Donald Trump? There’s a lot of people who aren’t happy, with how MAGA and America First have been transformed into just a uni-party Israel first coalition. The lack of improvement on the economy. War. The Epstein and JFK files fiasco. The Swamp has not been drained, at all, it just keeps expanding. And the lack of pro 2A action. Did all that play a role in Virginia even though it’s not the midterms or a presidential election year? It’s worth considering.

It mustn’t be overlooked that gun owners by and large suffer from apathy. They’d rather complain at their screens and do something productive. They’d rather bellyache to their friends at a shooting range or on a hunting trip, than do something productive. Our side lacks initiative. We’ve become the stereotypical “reactionary” from the ’60s and ’70s. If a side refuses to take the initiative, and continues to remain on the defensive, if you can even say we’re making enough of an effort to be considered “on the defensive”, the side with the initiative will win.

How will the NRA and Trump apologists react to NRA’s headquarters being behind enemy lines? Will NRA HQ still have a gun range and a museum in a year? Will Virginia have a domino effect on the south east next year, where we’ll see it start to go Democrat, state by state? Will the many people who mocked me over my many attempts to alert NRA to this danger, stop and pause and think a moment?

What will the consequences be nationally for the pro 2A loss in Virginia? Lots of anti 2A “laws”. Lots of 2A groups getting involved in lawsuits there. Lots of money and attention diverted from the mid terms.

The Virginia elections will have consequences nation wide next year. Get to work and now. Time flies.

Equip, train, pray and never disarm.

Update, St. Paul gets a new mayor,

Maybe MN Gunowners won’t have to sue St. Paul?

And Murderapolis…

Update. In Murderapolis, due to “ranked choice voting”, in the first count, the “winner” was Fateh. But, he ended up losing to Frey in the second count. So Murderapolis retains its boy mayor. Not surprising given Tampon Tim backed him.
