I’m starting to think it’s 50/50 whether Tampon Tim will run for governor again. He’s got some things going for him, none of the declared GOP candidates are tough competitors, they’re very weak. The Minnesota GOP makes the national GOP look hard core. The MN DFL is very good at organizing, meanwhile the MN GOP just does ad’s and some mailers, and whines. So unless some other GOP candidates get into the race, Tampon Tim’s got ZERO competition.
On the flip side, Tampon Tim clearly wants higher office. He’s had his taste of D.C., he was a Congressman, who, when representing a rural farm district, signed on to the Heller amicus brief- my how his 2A opinion has changed. And of course he was Kamala Harris’s running mate. Also Tina Smith, one of our Dem Senators is retiring when her term’s up, which is probably something Tampon Tim’s considering as well.
It doesn’t look good for the GOP in the mid terms, they keep bungling things, and there’s no organizing either by the GOP or 2A groups. Regardless of what Tampon Tim decides, if the 2A movement is going to defeat the tyrants, whomever they may be come election time, we must become a true movement and not just bellyache.
