The following email was sent to Whittington Center. If they send a reply, I’ll post it. And I’ll be forwarding a link to this blog post to other NRA email addresses.
It’s important to note that the NRA, NRA Whittington Center and NRA Foundation are legally all separate entities.

UPDATE: This evening, 5-5-25, I received an email from former NRA director Lt. Col. Robert Brown,
“Nick:
I would assume that the “gifts” were simply bought by the Whittington Center…(I was a Trustee of the WC for many years) as part of the promotion. I see no problem here.

As he is a former director, and to my knowledge not an active figure within the NRA, I’m not showing a screen shot of his email, as he is no longer shall we say, public figure, therefore his email address will remain confidential.
Also, as of 11:15pm, NRA HQ time, the former director Lt. Col. Brown’s reply has been the only one.
