VCDL’s Post Loss Plan

Here’s VCDL’s post election loss plan.

There’s a few problems here. They talk about “blind hatred of Trump”. That’s a cop out. Obviously hate, actual hate is real among many. Yet, for countless reasons MAGA has walked away from the forgotten man. It’s no longer America First. Did Trump’s policies and actions act as a damper on races such as those in Virginia? I’m sure they did, I’m sure they caused many to stay home. He’s blown it countless times on the Second Amendment alone. And the 2A Task Force exists on paper only and 2A groups refuse to help guide Trump’s 2A policies and call him out when he screws up.

But does not voting because of Trump amount to “hate” or is that instead a decision and action based off of an honest belief, even if it’s misguided?

We can’t blame everything on a “blind hatred of Trump”. NRA director Dennis Fusaro had devised a get out the vote plan, identifying 80,000 pro gun voters who don’t vote in off year elections. The NRA Foundation boss Tom King didn’t approve the plan, that’s another story. But how much of Sears loss and the down ballot losses can be attributed to apathetic gun owners?

Think of just what 80,000 people looks like. Ask yourself, how can there be 80,000 “pro gun voters” in one state that don’t vote in off year elections? What causes that amount of lack of care and concern? What causes that monumental amount of laziness?

While it’s true that Sears lost by 500,000 votes, not mere 80,000, we still must focus on the apathetic gun owner. I don’t know how we go about getting them to vote without special get out the vote efforts, but we’ve got to figure out something. Otherwise, our “movement” isn’t much of a movement at all, and all that talk of “100million” or “120million” or “130million” American gunowners doesn’t mean much if they don’t all vote. Think what our country would look like if they did all vote and vote pro 2A and became politically active, year round and voted in every single local, state and federal race?

Now VCDL saying the incoming Dem V.A. AG Johnson displayed poor judgement when he fantasized about murdering political opponents and their children… That’s not poor judgment, that’s demonic behavior. But to chalk up his win to Trump “hatred” is again, missing something. His Republican opponent, even according to VCDL has been a supporter of a government monopoly on violence. One doesn’t have to be a professional to realize that a Republican with that record isn’t going to excite 2A supporters, and many will simply not vote for, in this case attorney general.

And looking more broadly, not just at the 2A crowd, Trump rallies would’ve no doubt helped. But where was he? Certainly not in Virginia.

The one thing that stands out in VCDL’s plan is their focus on 2A sanctuaries. That’s a wise move, and could likely prove the most consequential should mass confiscation orders come down from the incoming governor or any future one. The 2A sanctuary idea is something every state 2A group should be pushing for in their states. It might spare blood shed one day.

They also plan to focus on the courts. Now that’s fine, provided it’s Virginians and only Virginians paying for it. With the midterms coming up fast we can’t afford to have the national groups like GOA and others divert their time, money and resources into saving Virginia, and forsake an already extremely brutal looking mid terms. Besides, if the national groups use the tough love approach on Virginia, maybe those 80,000 lazy “pro 2A” likely voters Fusaro identified might just learn a lesson on getting politically involved. And the NRA is already using the losses in VA as a cry for donations… Pitiful.

Also NRA Foundation boss Tom King has decreed,

The NRA Foundation is not part of the NRA’s organizational or financial structure. Its role is educational, charitable, and safety-focused – not political or advocacy-driven.

Does that sound like “prags” Negotiating Rights Away or what? And how can it be the NRA Foundation with such a policy? Ironically the NRA Foundation is headquartered in NRA’s HQ in Fairfax, VA. Strange.

And if it sounds like I’m harping on the NRA, well in a way I am. They refused to lift a finger to keep the state where their HQ is from being over-run by government monopoly on violence fanatics, and I don’t want to hear next summer, “Oh we gotta save the NRA, we gotta save the National Firearms Museum, etc.” We can’t take our eye off the mid terms.

’26 and ’28 are going to be brutal. Get to work.

Equip, train, pray and never disarm.
