“Target Focus”

Binocular vision disorder’s a bitch. A painful bitch at that. When I say I have “eye problems”, that’s what I’m referring too, and why the two people who read this blog find so many typos. It’s not technically an eye problem, but instead a neurological one, where the wires from the brain to the eyes, get kinked up and the brain isn’t talking to the eyes and vice versa properly.

Here’s some free advice, just so you know what it’s worth. If you have a vision problem, and the eye doctor tells you do deal with it, or in my case, just wear sun glasses, go see a specialist… Immediately.

Now that the binocular vision disorder’s getting better, due to many months of vision therapy, yes, there is such a thing as vision therapy, think physical therapy, but for the brain/eyes, and I’m regaining the ability to shoot a pistol again, especially my brand new Glock 34 Gen. 5, (I know, Glock’s corporate politics suck, but, I’m a sucker, thanks Denzel Washington and ‘Man On Fire’ (2004)),which was probably the last new Glock 34 Gen. 5 on the market, I’m working on the very basics.

I found this from Ben Stoeger, what he calls “Target Focus”. It’s an interesting concept, that I’d never heard of before, it sounds similar in concept to my vision therapy, and as the vision therapists say, “re-training the brain”, and now that I’m starting with pistols back at square one, I need all the help I can get. I intend to try this the next time I get out shooting… (The burnt gunpowder withdrawals are really bad this week), here’s the video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLMGIupAb9M
