Will St. Paul pass the ordinance? It’s interesting that Minneapolis hasn’t tried to do something like this. Minneapolis is typically considered worse and more woke than St. Paul. Perhaps it’s a “super-performative” attempt to get in the lime light given the Minneapolis mayoral race has taken up so much of the local news coverage.
If I had to guess, I’d guess they do pass it. Why? St. Paul’s all Democrat for one. And for another, if they pass it, and MN Gun Owners Caucus sues, who’s money does the St. Paul city council spend on lawyers? Taxpayer money, not their own personal money. And we have a Democrat governor and Democrat attorney general. So what’s the harm to the council? None. And it would be a major political brownie point for them, even if the ordinance gets shredded in court. They’re constituents will still support them, provided they keep attacking the 2nd Amendment.

The St. Paul city council will not want to incur the wrath of their “friends”.
