Sig…

What’s going on with Sig and the P320 and the M17/M18? Ben Stoeger reported on his youtube show that within the last 6 months, Sig edited the P320 manual to say only chamber a round when you’re about to fire.

Strange isn’t it? A striker fired, drop safe pistol, that can’t be carried with a round in the chamber? Yet nothing’s wrong? And all those lawsuits which Sig’s settled, were for something other than a self firing pistol?

Where’s our Secretary of Defense? Why aren’t all these Sig pistols, the M17/M18, being pulled from service? It’s not as if the DoD doesn’t still have all their M9’s in armories, pull them out, and issue them. My hand’s are too small to shoot a Beretta well, but I’d rather have a pistol that I can’t shoot well, that won’t fire itself, as opposed to a pistol which will self fire… Allegedly.

Stoeger also said that Chicago PD recently banned the P320 from their list of authorized duty pistols. And from a waronguns.com post, there was a link to the LAPD’s approved duty pistol roster. Sig P35 is authorized as backup. But no Sig P320’s for duty.

How is it that two of the most anti gun places in the country have police chiefs which know more about guns than either Sig or the DoD?

And since we’re on the topic of Sig, how did they get the DoD contract’s for pistol, rifle, machine gun, sniper rifle? Plus their .277 Fury will be made in Lake City shortly after Olin and the DoD finish expanding it.

Not even FN had that good of a deal, FN made some rifles, depending on the years, they fought with Colt for the contracts for M16A2’s and M16A4’s and M4’s and M4A1’s, and their various iterations. FN had the machine gun contract. But Beretta still made the pistols.

Curious too how the Sig weapons didn’t go through the DoD testing process, as is required…

P.S. Small Arms Solutions good. His ‘America’s Rifle’ book is a must have for all of us AR15 riflemen.
