Some thoughts regarding RICO and NRA. There’s many who are for the RICO case, many who are against. And many more who just don’t give a damn and want the NRA to crash and burn.
But, I’d urge the four plaintiffs, to consider a few things. Come out with a public statement, signed by all four, saying what they’ll do with any money the courts may award them.
I say that because many who are against RICO think the plaintiffs are only doing this, to get rich. It’s easy to see why they think that, considering the only one of the four plaintiffs to make public statements only donated a little of $100,000 to NRA. I say “only”, because the plaintiffs expect to be awarded at a minimum $60million plus treble damages, that’s legaleeze for triple, so the real minimum they expect to gain is $180million.
That leaves many people scratching their heads, myself included wondering, “How did a $100,000 turn into $60million times 3, meaning $180million?”
Many people are also wondering why should four NRA members be awarded hundreds of millions of dollars if NRA is found guilty of RICO? Why not all NRA members be awarded damages? Weren’t all NRA members financially damaged if NRA’s found guilty of RICO? Now, I don’t know the thinking on the part of the plaintiffs on this, but if they want members and former members to support them, and not see them as just another set of bandits stealing members dues/donations, they should answer these questions.
NRA membership deserves answers, as it’s NRA members money which these four plaintiffs stand to gain.
