Yup, Alaska Outdoor Council is still listed as a state association of the NRA, despite their executive director Caleb Martin telling me they left the NRA.
But here’s where things get interesting. I had a back channel discussion with someone, who said some details on the process. And because it’s back channel, no screen shot. The individual said, “They must be removed by board action. It goes thru the committee 1st. This is the 1st I have heard of Alaska affiliate leaving the fold. It may be in process.”
Given the above statement, who’s right and who’s wrong? Remember Caleb Martin said they’d left the NRA. Well they can’t have left yet, if the BoD may be in the process of removing them. And if the BoD were in the process, I’m fairly certain one or more of the people I know, would know.
So what’s going on?
