The official procedure for NRA member to director emailing, as lined out below by NRA director Jason Wilson, is totally incoherent. Now I’m not blaming Director Wilson. I believe, what he writes is what he was told. But, you read it, and tell me if it makes sense. Then he brings up this portal thing again. Again, I believe Director Wilson is relating what he was told. But, every time, someone tells me about this portal system, everyone has a totally different description/interpretation, and that’s perhaps now up to five or six different people.
Why is the member to director email system so convoluted? I believe it’s convoluted by design. I believe the NRA both officers and the board as a whole do not want to hear from us. I believe the NRA interferes with “forwarding” our emails. There’s several reasons I believe this. One, is why doesn’t the entire board storm into the proven by a jury liar, Sec. Frazer’s office and politely say, “What the hell’s going on?!!!”. They haven’t. CCO Mensinger refused to conduct an investigation. CEO Hamlin doesn’t care. Which leads us to the following explanation from Director Wilson.
He sent me two emails. The first one, I debated about whether or not to post, it’s ridiculous, but, I decided I would, to show I’m transparent- unlike the NRA. In the first email he says I’ve posted “incorrect, misleading information” and that I, “fill in the blanks with fiction”.
Nope. I haven’t. And if I have written something incorrect, then I welcome anyone, to post in the comments, or email me, and tell me what/where/how something is incorrect.
He also says he’s a “busy individual” and that’s the cause for a delay in replying, “I am a very busy individual. I have to pick and choose my timing very carefully…”
An apology is not happening. I will not apologize for voicing my concerns to a director of an organization I’m a member of, and for further voicing publicly my displeasure at not getting a response from Jason Wilson and anyone else at NRA. If Jason Wilson is too busy to attend to his duties as a director of the National Rifle Association, then he shouldn’t be on the board. I will not apologize.
What I will say to Jason Wilson, is that I appreciate his follow up email, which actually pertains to the subject at hand… The NRA member to director email system… Below are the two emails, and below that more thoughts/questions.

And the second email,

There’s a few issues to point out. Why can’t membership contact the entire board? And how is membership supposed to know who to contact? We don’t have a list of who’s on what committee(s). So if some one has a bone to pick about member to director communications, who’s he to email? If you have a concern about 2A policy, who do your email? If you’re involved in training or competitions and have something you want to say, who do you email? All of the above applies to countless areas within the NRA. WHO DO WE EMAIL? WHY CAN’T WE EMAIL THE ENTIRE BOARD?
And are we really truly to believe an organization which had a decade ago 6million, and now 3million members, doesn’t get many messages through it’s member to director email system?
And if this “SPAM” portal, PDF thing exists, why aren’t directors reading it, if it’s filled with members communications? Are we really to believe member communications get over looked because the board is too busy communicating with itself? If that’s true, then maybe, that has something to do with the fact there’s 76 directors… The corporate average is 12. 12 or less directors would sure cut down on the internal communications problems.
In the end, I believe what Jason Wilson has told me is the truth as he heard it. But I do not believe whomever told him what he states above, is true.
