NRA CEO Hamlin:”I’m not sure about the Ken Blackwell thing.”

On February 15th, 2025, I emailed NRA CEO Hamlin the following,

“EVP Hamlin,

I recently read the following article,

Dark Web of Taxpayer’s Money Funds Anti-Gun Organizations

The second to last paragraph it mentions Ken Blackwell.

There’s a J. Kenneth Blackwell from Ohio on the NRA BoD.

According to his wikipedia page, he’s also involved in the Council On Foreign Relations,

My question for you, is, is the Ken Blackwell mentioned in the Ammoland article, who’s involved in an organization which has funneled, $21million to anti gun groups, the same Ken Blackwell on the NRA board? And if so, what do you have to say on the matter?

Later that day, CEO Hamlin responded,

“Nicholas,

My reaction after reading the Ammmoland article is this is what we face at NRA, …hundreds of millions of dollars being circumvented against freedom loving, law abiding gun owners. And American taxpayers are footing the bill unknowingly.

So it just makes our job that much harder. I’m not sure about the Ken Blackwell thing.
