Alan Gottlieb’s Merril Associates, the political fundraising firm he plead guilty to falsifying taxes for, was paid by the Second Amendment Foundation $309,373 in 2024 according to SAF’s 990,
SAF and the Merril Associates from the 990 share an address as well.
But there’s a problem, searching Washington State’s corporations and charities filing system doesn’t show a “Merril Associates”. It does however show a “Merril Mail Marketing, Inc”, which has “Alan M Gottlieb” as the registered agent and “Alan Gottlieb” and Julianne Versnel as governors. Link, here.
This is beginning to seem like a pattern, as with Service Bureau Cooperative. Can SAF’s 2024 990 have inaccurate listings?
