So FPC and NRA are challenging the machine gun ban? https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/fpc-nra-machinegun-ban-court-brief/
That’s nice and all. But why the reliance on,
“Heller already explored the relevant history and found that the only way to ban possession of a firearm is by demonstrating that it is ‘dangerous and unusual’ and therefore unprotected by the Second Amendment.”
Does the Second Amendment say anything about “dangerous and unusual”? No. Aren’t all arms, by definition, “dangerous”? Yes. And what’s “unusual”? With this obsessive focus on “precedent”, supposed 2A groups are setting us up for an immediate ban on the next evolution of small arms, whatever that may be, such as lasers or some other type of arm. They will be both “dangerous” because of course they will be arms, and they will be “unusual” because they will be brand new.
Stupid.
Curious how NRA could not tell me their position on machine guns, https://2awhiterook.com/whats-the-nras-position-on-machine-guns/ https://2awhiterook.com/where-2a-groups-stand-on-machine-guns-update/
