Marion Hammer is suing the NRA… The crooks are turning on each other.
She’s a crook. She was being paid while being a director. A director per the by laws is an unpaid position. To skirt that she was being paid as a “lobbyist”. How nice. Also she took “loans” out from the Florida sportsmens group she ran, which was largely funded by NRA. Then there’s the issue of her fighting GOA’s Florida lobbyist when he publicly demanded state Republicans pass permitless carry or else they’d be threatened with primaries. She said he was anti gun. So, a “lobbyist”? By the way, GOA eventually won, dragging the Republicants kicking and screaming all the way across the finish line.
Also she was Wayne LaPierre’s pitbull for decades. What’s that tell you? She was also an NRA president. Also NRA director for decades until just a year or two ago.
The interesting thing about this is, not that Hammer’s suing, in and of itself, but, combine that with NRA mega donor David Dell’Aquila’s RICO lawsuit against NRA, and then what do you have? Brewer’s gone sure. But the current NRA lawyers are busy suing Ackermen McQueen for the umpteenth time, after Brewer lost every case, and Under Wild Skies for the third or fourth time, again after Brewer lost every previous case. Why? Shouldn’t a pro gun group use it’s lawyers for 2A litigation? Just an idea.
So what will NRA do now? Still well within the shadow of the NY trial, and the “majority reformer” board having rehired John Frazer as NRA Secretary, despite him being found guilty of falsifying statements on NRA documents in the NY trial- by a jury no less. And having under 3million members when just a decade ago they had as many as 6million maybe, at least well over 5million. And of the current 3million members, 2.5million don’t pay dues, they’re life members.
Can NRA pay the legal pills? I don’t think so.
