There’s a few problems with that. He pushed for red flag laws and bump stock bans during Trump’s first term. Then there’s all the anti 2A candidates NRA endorsed while he was ILA boss. Once upon a time he even said NRA had never wanted to legalize machine guns- not a very pro 2A sentiment. Here he is on film, for NRA pushing for red flag laws,
Then of course, Gottlieb’s has a past as well of pushing for universal back ground checks (national gun registry),
So maybe the pair belong together…
