Yes, Mary Moriarty is the same county attorney(The Minnesota “nice” way of saying D.A.) that barely slapped the guys wrist for doing $20,000 plus in damages to Teslas, lets child rapists go with not much more than a slap on the wrist, persecutes a state trooper for fatally shooting a suspect who was wanted, and was driving off with another trooper being dragged by his car. The trooper was white, suspect black, and oh yes, in her mind that’s why it HAD to be murder. The public outrage on that one got so bad even Tampon Tim quietly told her to drop the case. She finally did, after it got out she ignored expert witnesses who testified the trooper acted in accordance to training and the law.
Now we have her telling her prosecutors to factor in race and age in plea deals. Given how woke she is, I wonder what will be her least preferred race?
And you’re probably wondering why I’m bringing this up, well it’s simple. Do you know what your local district attorney/county attorney, whatever the title is, where you live, do you know what they are doing? Do you pay attention to your county board? Your sheriff? Your city hall and mayor and the city council? The local police department?
Now if you live in a county, which has someone like Moriarty as the county attorney, (D.A.), what happens to you if you have to use your gun to defend yourself or your family? How will the county attorney’s rules on race, effect you? In Moriarty’s case, I guarantee you, if you’re white, and the outlaw’s black, or anything but white, she will do everything she can to persecute you, evidence be damned.
I’ve seen this discussed in comments sections of various 2A websites, “would you get involved” people will ask. They refer to helping either a fellow citizen in danger, or a cop, etc, something where you decide to help your fellow man, by using your gun to defend him and others from an evil doer.
The answers I’ve seen have been mixed. Some say “Yes I would!”, others say “No way, I’m not going to risk getting locked up by a woke prosecutor for helping a stranger, what’ll happen to my own family?”
I won’t try to tell you the right answer, because, :little do we mortals know”. If you get into a touchy situation, or see someone else who’s in one, and the chips are down, you’ll do what you’ll do. As would I. What that is, who knows? It depends, it depends, it depends. In the end none of us know how we’d react to a direct threat to ourselves, or family, or if we see a stranger in danger. Sure we’d all like to envision ourselves as John Wayne, drawing his six shooter and dropping the outlaw, but… There’s only one Duke.
But I think it’s worth some pondering, after you get to familiarize yourself, if you haven’t already with your local politics, particularly the legal system, and I’m not talking merely the laws. Get to know the people, involved. Read on their histories, their policies, and other recent cases. Then ponder, what could be some outcomes if you defend yourself, or your family, or say try to save a stranger from an outlaw.
Think, what are the odds your D.A. will try to prosecute you? Here where I live, I would, without a doubt, be persecuted by a woke prosecutor. Do you want to risk leaving your family for years, because you helped a stranger? Or spare yourself the trouble, and risk a guilty conscience, in order that you stay out of prison and are able to be with your family?
Only God knows the right answer. But we mortals should still ponder it… And then pray and vote the deranged communists out of office.
