Yesterday I noticed, https://www.ammoland.com/ is asking for donations at the bottom of what seems like all of their articles. It doesn’t surprise me, I’ve wondered for sometime now if they were on hard times. Their gun/gear reviews, were getting recycled more and more, some being as old as seven years, and the guns/gear not even made anymore. Others, only a month old, being recycled, as “new”. And as usual for this sort of thing, all new guns and gear are GREAT!… Yeah, right.
And more and more PR pieces, from NRA, SAF, NSSF, etc, and pieces, supposedly written by Ammoland staff, but read suspiciously like they were written by gun company PR teams, https://www.ammoland.com/2025/07/what-this-new-firearms-industry-insider-report-reveals/ and some how “news”.
That’s been happening a lot, “news” is actually “opinion”, and very, very short and brief. So short and brief as to be hardly more than a blurb and beg more questions than it answers. Also in “news”, they’ve been publishing fewer and fewer articles each day for awhile, and now recently, sometimes nothing for an entire day.
I don’t want them to go belly up. But, neither am I going to pay for what’s at least 50% a crummy commercial.
Equip, train, pray and never disarm.
