A while back, on an NRA IN DANGER blog post in the comments section, NRA director Phil Journey, stated he had a plan to cut down the size of the board. When asked for details, by me, and if I recall, some others as well, no reply.
After I awhile I was able to get in touch with him. I asked about his plan. He didn’t provide details only saying his was the best. I then offered, and if Phil Journey reads this, the offer still stands, that if he wrote out his plan, I’d publish it on this blog, without any editing, or adding anything of my own. It’d be all his, and the byline would be his as well.
He liked the idea, at first. Then a few days later he decided if he wrote such a piece it’d need a wider audience, like Ammoland for instance. I replied to him, saying I didn’t care where it got published, just as long as he got published somewhere and members could read and consider his plan.
To my knowledge, he’s never written his plan nor had it published anywhere. I have no idea even what the basics are. But cutting the size of the board is critical, if any meaningful change is to occur.
I encourage Phil Journey to write his plan and publish it somewhere, anywhere, where members can read it and consider it.
