Seven Days In May

Last night I watched ‘Seven Days In May’ (1964), https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0058576/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_7_nm_1_in_0_q_seven%2520days%2520in%2520may

This is a bone chilling film. The kind you shouldn’t watch before bed, it hits too close to home. Though made in 1964, it could easily be about current events, in 2025. It’s far too relevant.

Why is America always at war, despite every president swearing peace? Even the current president won, due largely to promising to “end forever wars”, and proclaiming “America 1st”, and “Make America Great Again”, yet America’s still fighting a proxy war in Ukraine, still funding the Israeli genocide of Palestinians, and bombing Iran.

Has the military taken over the White House? Have they been giving president after president offers they couldn’t refuse?

Will the American military set its sights on the American people in the not too distant future? Beware of calls for citizen disarmament. The fact that so many of you are armed, is the only thing that’s kept the tyrants at bay this long. Keep arming, keep training. Do not disarm.

As a side note, there’s curious looking rifles in the film, a Colt SP1 or a very early Air Force pre M16 AR15’s… https://www.imfdb.org/wiki/Seven_Days_in_May

It’s commonly believed ‘The Green Berets’ (1968) was the first to show Stoner’s weapon system, that version being the XM16E1. But ‘Seven Days In May’ (1964) was made four years earlier.
