Reform? Yeah, Right (Committee Assignments, RICO, ETC)

Reform? Yeah, right. So, here, https://nraindanger.wordpress.com/2025/06/11/nra-committee-assignments-2025/

As you can see, from that, and the link in it to John Richardson’s blog, the “reformers” are very pleased. Why? Because their “team” got committee assignments, I guess, but whoopteedo. It still doesn’t seem to occur to any of these people that the corporate average for directors in 2025, is 12, with it trending downward to the 6-9 range. NRA has 76 directors, with additional positions held by non directors. Which begs the question if NRA membership elects the “leaders” how do non directors- people who membership did not vote for, get committee assignments? And, even if all these people are truly great, how do they agree on anything? How easy is it to get everyone around a Thanksgiving or Christmas supper table to agree on something?

Cam Edwards, I really don’t get how he’s there, https://2awhiterook.com/ccrkba-calls-hammer-a-second-amendment-champion/ As you’ll see, when he “worked” for the NRA, he was not in fact employed by NRA. He worked for Ack Mac, and NRA is suing Ack Mac. A potential conflict of interest? He’s also a director for one of Gotlieb’s groups, the Citizens Committee For The Right To Keep And Bear Arms. Another conflict? Especially if he’s on the nominating committee?

The NRA makes the US Postal Service seem efficient and intelligent.

And then, what is a “Special Security Operations” committee? Are they the ones who’ll track down all those guns that “walked” out of the National Firearms Museum? And hunt down all the evil doers responsible? Curious isn’t it that ATF never got involved, with all the very credible reports of nefarious conduct at the National Firearms Museum, even during the Biden years, under the ATF’s “zero tolerance policy”. Maybe all the current/former GOP party bosses, current/former GOP politicians on the NRA board, or otherwise associated with NRA kept the ATF from nosing around? I wonder how many gun stores would not have been shut down by ATF for literally not crossing a ‘t’ or not dotting an ‘i’, if they’d had similar political connections?…

And on a related note here, RICO. I’ve asked this before, both here on my blog, and on others, but I’ll ask it again, why?

We’re told the plaintiff(s), when I last read the most recent amended complaint, (I think it was the most recent, there’s been many amended versions), there were four plaintiffs listed. Yet only one seems to every make public statements. We’re told, or at least I was, that the plaintiff(s), at a minimum expect to be awarded $60million, plus treble damages, that’s lawyer talk for triple, so a true minimum of $180million.

We’re told one of the plaintiff’s donated a little over $100,000 to NRA. Another, it looks like tens of thousands of dollars, maybe more. Another, bought a NRA license plate. I’m not sure what the fourth did, it was never made clear. (Again, there’s been so many amended versions, I’m not sure if the one I read was the latest).

But the plaintiff(s), gave a couple hundred thousand dollars it looks like combined, or there about. So, if NRA is found guilty of RICO and has to pay out $180million or more, why do only four NRA members get awarded damages? If NRA’s guilty of RICO, and obviously NRA’s been financially corrupt for decades, and worst of all morally corrupt since 1934 when they first betrayed their members and their mission to support and defend the Second Amendment and the American Militia, by supporting the National Firearms Act, and countless anti Militia laws since, then why don’t all NRA members, get awarded damages?

Remember the NRA is a non profit corporation. Their money doesn’t come from selling products and services, it comes from member dues and donations. So that possible $180million plus award of damages, is members money, NOT NRA’s money.

Why should 3million current members, and millions of past members money, be paid out to four members who filed a lawsuit? How did a couple hundred thousand dollars in donations by the plaintiff(s) turn into $180million plus in damages? Why should they get rich off the money of millions of other members? If they were damaged, weren’t all NRA members damaged? Shouldn’t we all be getting our money back, plus damages?

NRA membership is owed an explanation, by these plaintiff(s), however many there are currently. They should all write and sign a joint statement, explaining why they’re suing, why they think they were damaged to such a high degree, and what they intend to do with any damages they may be awarded.

And lets not forget, both Oliver North and Marion Hammer are suing NRA as well, it looks like their lawsuits if awarded fully, will cost the NRA members $100million or more.

Then of course Tom King, former NRA director, current NRA Foundation boss is suing Oliver North and using Bill Brewer’s law firm to do it. How can he afford Bill Brewer? Is the NRA Foundation paying? After all Brewer cost the NRA, depending on who’s counting between $200 and $400million over 6 years, and zero victories.

Reform? Yeah, right.
