Guess what? If your Sig P320 has an un-commanded discharge, it ain’t Sig’s fault!
Remember, un-commanded is totally different than an accidental discharge. An accidental discharge is when YOU do something to ACCIDENTALLY fire the weapon, depending on the type, like a Colt SAA and clones, keeping the chamber under the hammer loaded… (Don’t do that). Or, dropping your non series 80 1911… (Don’t do that either). Not even your AR15 is “drop safe”, that’s why GI’s don’t chamber a round into their M4’s till AFTER they’ve exited the chopper.
An un-commanded discharge is when the gun discharges, due to, something other than user error. Like a holstered, “drop safe” pistol just firing, all by itself.

Limit product liability? A gun, in perfect working order, discharging, while holstered, with no obstructions in the holster, isn’t a “defect”?
It is perversely amusing when we hear woke, anti 2A police chiefs, such as Chicago, ban the P320 from the list of approved duty sidearms of their officers. David Codrea, recently posted a list of approved duty side arms for LAPD… They can carry old school S&W wheel guns, even 1911’s and 2011’s, but guess what they CAN NOT CARRY on duty? P320’s. Strange how these anti 2A police chiefs know more about pistols than the DoD… Where’s Trump and Hegseth? Every M17/M18 should be immediately pulled from service, and the M9 re-issued until the Sig pistol is made safe or better yet, an alternative is found.

And these stupid Republicants giving carve outs to a gun company which deserves to be sued into oblivion. And no, someone suing a gun company for a potentially lethal design defect is NOT in violation of the Protection Of Lawful Commerce In Arms Act. Is this the “pro gun” version of ‘Operation Warp Speed’, and giving immunity to big pharma death dealers like Pfizer, Moderna and others? Sure looks like it.
My opinion, stick with pistols that don’t fire by themselves.
