Is The NRA RICO Lawsuit The Wrong Way To Go?

We’ve heard, on many blogs, and forums, in depth, from the pro RICO camp. Both from David Dell’Aquila himself and from NRA membership.

But what about the opposing side? There are people who oppose it. Both people in the NRA, such as directors and officers. Even from what I’ve seen on blogs and things, some members. Some accuse Dell’Aquila of only being interested in lining his own pockets. Yet, I haven’t seen anywhere an in depth argument on why Dell’Aquila’s RICO lawsuit is the wrong way to go.

So in the interest of fairness, and since I’m after the truth, I would like to get people’s responses who disagree that Dell’Aquila’s RICO lawsuit as being the proper course of action to achieve reform. And ideally, I’d also hear on what their alternative ideas are, if any.

I will be sending this piece to some people in the NRA. If I get some responses, I will do a follow up piece and publish, quoting their responses.
