Isn’t it curious how the gunowner seems to have all the responsibility, while the potential thief seems to have none? After all, who’s to blame for stealing your tv? You? Or the burglar? So why’s a gun any different?
And when it comes to kids, they seem to forget about parents teaching kids about how to properly handle guns, or to properly not handle guns. Afterall, wasn’t that how families dealt with kids and guns for centuries?
And why are they talking suicide? If a gunowner’s suicidal, and locks his guns in a safe, and loses his battle with his demons, he’ll just open the safe and take his life. And if someone in his family is suicidal, and loses the battle with his demons, and can’t get to a gun, he’ll find another way to take his life. The sad reality is, is that when one loses that battle, they’ll find a way to end their life. So there’s no point in bringing up suicide in this conversation.
One last thing, doesn’t this all seem forced? Both from the NSSF and Bearing Arms? The NSSF is the gun lobby. Not the 2A, but the gun lobby. And they’re not friends of ours. And I doubt they’ve ever uttered the word, Militia, once.. Which of course makes me even more skeptical about this, and what their ultimate goals are. As for Bearing Arms, they’re owned by Salem, which is partially owned by members of the Trump family.
Just remember, if all your guns are locked up, you won’t be able to grab one or more in a hurry. And yes, I know about these special electronic lock boxes and things. Electronics fail. And what if there’s an EMP?
Equip, train, pray and never disarm.
