Edina Murder

A deadly shooting in Edina sparked a massive police response and forced a lockdown at nearby businesses at Southdale Mall on Wednesday as police searched for the suspects.

The cops really bungled the response. Mom had a doctors appointment down there. East bound 66th was blocked by a single cop at France. West bound was open. No explanation. We had to pull a U turn on France- not an easy thing to do, early afternoon on a week day. We took a side street to the building. Cops were around. But not blocking the building or side street to it. Once at her appointment, her doctor told her of the murder, just below her office window and across the small side street that intersects with 66th.

As I waited for Mom in the waiting room, I saw a SWAT team walk to some vehicles on 66th. The helmets, the heavy body armor, military cammies, ballistic shield, AR15 SBR’s with suppressors…

Now why can’t we do that? Were those AR15’s full auto? The hypocrisy. And professional 2A still “backs the blue”.

Also I noticed the police squads on 66th, a number were not only unmarked, but odd. Not the typical Ford Explorer’s, Dodge Durango’s and Chevy Tahoe’s. Instead Kia and Hyundai puddle jumpers and similar vehicles, with hidden police lighting. Were they ICE? We’ve seen in videos of ICE raids they use odd make/model unmarked squads.

Finally, upon leaving we saw the open sided tent across the street with a white sheet beneath it. Mom’s doctor had told her the body was under that sheet.

So if the body was on the grass along a side street, and not 66th, and they were looking for multiple murder suspects, why weren’t all the side streets closed off? Why were we able to drive to the building directly across from the body? When we saw the one cop blocking east bound 66th, but west bound was open, being a very busy main artery along Southdale mall, I assumed a bad traffic accident had occured along east bound 66th. Not a murder on a side street across from Mom’s doctor’s building.

Equip, train, pray and never disarm.
