What’s “pro life” mean? People always think it means unborn babies, pregnant mothers, and wanting the babies to be born, and grow up, as opposed to getting Shop Vacced or Drainoed.
But is that all “pro life” means? Since life begins at conception and people call themselves “pro life” then that means life matters and is worth defending from conception till natural death, right? Of course. But why? Because life is sacred. It’s a gift from God. And it shouldn’t be treated in a materialist manner. Life must be guarded at all costs.
Being “pro life”, is much like being “pro 2A”, and maintaining the belief that all arms laws are infringements and “arms” are all the terrible implements of the soldier. It’s merely being consistent with your beliefs. Ideologically consistent.
So why do so many people, who are “pro life” and “conservative” and “pro 2A” and “pro Constitution”, cheer on death? Whether it’s Pettri, executed for being a “domestic terrorist” and exercising his 1st and 2nd Amendment rights, or Goode before that, in her car. Why? People will disagree on Goode. But why cheer on her death? Even if it was necessary? Do we really want to cheer it on? Do we really want to cheer on death abroad as well? I don’t. Do they think only some life is sacred? Seems so.
Death is sometimes necessary of course. A mugger on the street. A would be rapist. A home intruder. A tyrannical government. Yes. But what’s it mean when the “good guys” cheer on death? Does America really hold the belief that perceived political opponents should die? That anyone who isn’t on “our side” is a legitimate target?
This isn’t a left vs right or Republican vs Democrat issue. This is bigger. It’s about our souls. And the soul of America. Our culture. Death must be left as a last resort. But even then it can’t be celebrated.
And those who support the Second Amendment, must not allow our movement to be corrupted by those who celebrate death. We lose our ideological consistency if we allow them to speak for us. And we may just lose our souls too, if we don’t curb this mob mentality. After all, how can we say with a straight face, “the right to keep and bear arms comes from God”, while cheering, “Fuck around and find out!”?
The soul of America is in danger.
Equip, train, pray and never disarm.
