This morning an NRA state affiliate, at least according to the NRA’s own website, https://stateassociations.nra.org/find-your-state-association/, wanted me to stop emailing them.
Just to be clear, because some at NRA need things spelled out, this NRA state affiliate, the Magnolia State Shooting Sports Alliance, is, a National Rifle Association state affiliate. My point is, that, if we, the NRA membership, of which I’m regrettably a life member, can’t contact the NRA’s Board of Directors via the official procedure as lined out in our magazines, using the [email protected] email address, and including our name, contact information and NRA member number, then what recourse do we have than to pursue other means?
I have several director’s non NRA email addresses. Rarely to they respond. Jason Wilson for instance, when he was running for the board, put his email out on blogs for members to contact him. Then after winning a seat, he got angry that I was voicing my concerns. And he no longer responds. That’s an NRA “reformer”.
I know some others email addresses as well. But so what? What’s a half dozen when the board is 76 directors? Why doesn’t the board see fit to order Sec. Frazer to institute a functioning email system? This isn’t hard. For example, how long does it take to sign up for a gmail account? A couple minutes? Yet, a non profit corporation worth a couple of hundred million dollars can’t institute a functioning system for it’s members to communicate with its board of directors? Maybe that’s because Sec. Frazer who was found by a jury to be guilty of falsifying NRA documents is in charge of the system? And the NRA board voted to rehire him. So clearly the board doesn’t want to hear from us either. And the CCO Mensinger didn’t even bother to conduct an investigation into the email system. And CEO Hamlin’s just… In over his head.
And now, after attempting the use of alternate means of contacting the NRA, I’m being shut out… Let’s face the facts, “NRA 2.0”, and the “reform movement” are lies.
Defund the NRA.
