I first heard that Tom King, president of New York State Rifle & Pistol Association hired Bill Brewers firm, here.

One has to wonder why? Tom King hired Brewer for his personal lawsuit against Oliver North. As you can see from the above link, that hasn’t gone well for King. One would think King would be so dissatisfied with Brewer he’d choose a different firm to represent NYSRPA for the Hemani amicus brief. Plus Brewer’s record for the NRA was a grade F. Can we be sure zero NRA funds are being used here? Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me.
And then there’s the other issue involving Brewer and his firm’s political donations,
One would think the president of the New York State Rifle & Pistol Association would pick an attorney for 2A work who is either, and I know these are few and far between but a pro 2A attorney or at the very least, not openly hostile to 2A.
Another thing we must consider is the NRA Foundation, as Tom King’s the he bull over there. The commenter from above summed it up pretty well. And I must ask for the umpteenth time, why is there an “NRA” Foundation, which is chartered in D.C. and has its physical headquarters in the NRA (NY) headquarters building in Fairfax, VA, if the actual NRA (NY) has no control, no oversight, or as they like to tell us, there’s a “wall” separating the two entities?
What’s “NRA” about this Foundation?
Over on X, I’ve asked former NRA director Timothy Knight, and current directors Jeff Knox, Theresa Inacker, John Richardson, and Anthony Colandro for comment. If they or anyone else responds, I’ll update this with their comments.

Equip, train, pray and never disarm.
