‘AAC Closing’ (Codrea)

Regarding AAC’s closing, from War On Guns, here, the why makes no sense. A lack of gunpowder? For the past year, the “official” story from the “industry” has been that they’re hurting bad from a massive decline in demand because Trump/GOP won the ’24 elections and the panic buying is over. They’ve said countless gun stores and manufacturers have gun under.

From personal experience, under Trump this past year, I have had no trouble in finding my preferred ammo or the guns or scopes, I want to buy. Not once. However the cost has over that same period, in regards to ammo has increased compared to the Biden era, both in stores and online.

Demand plummets. A shortage which isn’t seen when buying either in store or online. Increased retail price. Color me skeptical.

Doing a simple search, this was the first article to come up from, July.

The second article to appear was this, from March. It’s kind of ambiguous, gun sales down, yet ammo sales up and somehow the price is down? That makes no sense.

And yet an article from a few days ago, here, says increased demand both government and civilian leads to shortages in gun powder. Again, I must say I haven’t seen any evidence of this demand while buying rifle and pistol ammo. I don’t shoot shotguns so I don’t pay attention to shotgun shells. Where’s this demand on the civilian side? Obviously genocide requires lots of gunpowder, both in Gaza and Ukraine, and likely soon to be Venezuela. But again, where’s the shortages on the shelf? Or online?

One of the consequences we’ve faced for electing “conservatives” in ’24 is a continued increase in cost of living. When the economy worsens, people spend less.

Yes, I’m skeptical. But remember, complexity favors the well connected.

Equip, train, pray and never disarm.
