President Trump can do seven things, right now, which would provide much relief, and greatly advance our cause, all while Constitutionally bypassing the current milquetoast Congress.
- Reverse the 1989 semi auto rifle import ban. In the following link, David Codrea outlines the problem in detail and how President Trump can eliminate it with a mere signature. - Ban the Army Corps Of Engineers from having the “authority” to ban guns on PUBLIC property. - Appoint a full time acting director to the ATF. As un-Constitutional as the ATF is, there needs to be a full time boss on hand to rein it in as much as possible. Currently, Daniel Driscoll is both Secretary of the Army, and acting ATF director. No one can do both those jobs at the same time. ATF needs it’s own full time acting director. President Trump needs only a pen, paper and phone to arrange for the appointment of a full time, pro 2A acting director of ATF.
- President Trump can and must order AG Bondi to send a team to ATF headquarters and destroy the national gun registry, which contains at last count, around 1billion records in a digital database. - Due to the Second Amendment Task Force not having any representatives from the national Second Amendment groups, such as the National Rifle Association, Gun Owners Of America, the Second Amendment Foundation, the Firearms Policy Coalition, or the National Association For Gun Rights, among many others, I encourage President Trump to either reconstitute the Second Amendment Task Force, or simply meet with representatives from the above named groups and others on a regular basis, along with AG Bondi, to come up with pro Second Amendment policy, at all fronts from executive orders, to legislation, to judicial cases and so forth.
