There’s some troubling things in here. Why are Minnesota Republicans using the term “gun violence”? I think we all know inanimate objects cannot be violent.
The article mentions increase penalties for straw purchasers and repeat gun criminals. There’s many problems there. If we go back to the Founding Era, anyone who was free, had ALL their rights, including 2A rights. So, if an animal is deemed by a court to be too dangerous to keep and bear arms, why is such an animal released from its cage to begin with? Then the “straw purchaser”… Well once again, the problem there involves the 4473/NICS “laws”, which lead to a national gun registry, and all of which are 2A infringements. The issue here, is about behavior… Evil behavior. That evil behavior can be tempered with an armed society, a functioning judicial system which keeps animals caged, and changing our culture back to one which is sane, self reliant, and most of all, God fearing.
School funding is an issue too. School districts should be under local control. Whether it’s state money, or federal money, there’s always strings attached. If the Republicans here in Minnesota start handing out as they propose, “school security grants”, there’s no way they can do that without compromising with Democrats, and as bad as Republicants are, we know the Democrats are worse. (MN House is tied, with a GOP Speaker, MN Senate is Dem controlled and of course, Tampon Tim’s in the governors mansion) Do we want insane tyrants like Tampon Tim dictating how schools provide security? No. And if private schools start taking public money, the camels nose gets under the tent, and they’ll lose their autonomy. Public schools should be under the parent/taxpayer/district control, and private schools should be under the control of the religious, or non-religious institution which oversees it, and the parents who pay to enroll their children there. Keep the control as local as possible, it’s the best way to prevent bad policy.
Equip, train, pray and never disarm.
