The ATF has ceased enforcing its Biden-era “zero-tolerance” policy which let them SHUT DOWN gun stores if they made even the simplest of mistakes, such as a record-keeping error or a procedural issue. But at the end of the day, a repeal is not enough. If unelected bureaucrats can scribble the unconstitutional rule into effect at whim, a future anti-gun administration can bring it back at ANY MOMENT. |

The controversy centers on the Biden administration’s “zero tolerance” policy, a rule that allowed the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) to strip federal firearms licenses from dealers for minor paperwork errors. The policy was repealed in April, with Attorney General Pam Bondi declaring it had “unfairly targeted law-abiding gun owners.” ATF Acting Director Daniel Driscoll admitted in May that dealers were punished for “simple mistakes such as forgetting to put their license number on forms.”
Yet despite those public reversals, DOJ lawyers have refused to drop their defense of the old policy. According to court filings, they informed GOA that the government has “no plans to abandon its previous arguments” in the ongoing lawsuit.
How do we have “rogue lawyers” within the DOJ? Trump is president, (R). His pick Bondi is attorney general (R), who’s head of DOJ. So this is Trump’s policy. If it were not Trump’s policy, these lawyers would be ordered to STOP. But they haven’t. And if they were ordered to stop, and refused, they’d be FIRED. Trump after all made lots of money from saying,

When will the 2A movement, start calling balls and strikes and stop making endless excuses when Trump does something that’s anti 2A? Is hero worshiping, really more important than defending and strengthening the Second Amendment?
