The Supreme Court declines to hear Minnesota’s appeal, which means 18-20 year olds can now get concealed carry permits.
Now, we just need to get rid of the need for a government permission slip to carry a gun all together.
It would be nice if our state GOP made a harder effort to be 2A. They put forth a permit-less carry bill… But with Democrats in control in the state Senate and Tim Walz as governor, it won’t go anywhere.
And the state GOP can’t figure out why Walz is governor to begin with, or so they claim. Maybe it’s because their challenger to Walz was Scott Jensen who during his time in the state legislature was extremely anti gun, even by Minnesota Republican standards? And the candidate before that was sabotaged by the Republican Governors Association who refused to buy ads for him because he wasn’t former MN Gov. Tim Pawlenty’s preferred choice, aka a swamp rat.
Then of course Kieth Ellison as Attorney General… Maybe it’s because the state GOP keeps shooting itself in the foot by sabotaging any candidate who isn’t milquetoast party man the past two AG elections? And clearly voters don’t like Republican swamp rats.
