’24 NRA Annual Compliance Report To Members…

Attached is the 2024 NRA Annual Compliance Report To Members… Allegedly. Why do I say “allegedly”? Because I didn’t receive it through official channels, that’s why. One would think an “Annual Compliance Report To Members” would be made readily available to me, as I’m a life member. Apparently being a life member isn’t good enough to receive a “to members” report.

It’s long and it’s boring. And it goes to show, the same old same old. So I’ll summarize. The NRA spent $5.4milliion on…

“During the period from January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2024, the NRA incurred aggregate travel and
business entertainment expenses of $5.4 million.”

What’s that mean? Hard to say, as far as “business entertainment” goes. But, there seems to be a lot of people who work at the NRA in paid and un-paid positions who are allowed waivers to the paid travel regulations since they have health issues… Or are a keynote speaker at the Women’s Leadership Forum…

“In May 2024, two NRA officers approved the return charter flight from Dallas to New York for the NRA Women’s Leadership Forum’s contracted keynote speaker (a non-employee) at a cost of $26,045. The flight was approved as the only feasible way for the speaker to attend the event and return for an existing professional obligation.”

It specifically mentions former President Barr needing an airline ticket upgrade for health issues. Maybe, if people are too ill to conduct basic job duties with a basic airline ticket, maybe they should stay home and rest? Or if their health issue is more severe, resign? Just a thought. And maybe if a WLF keynote speaker has such pressing engagements then maybe NRA could find a better way to spend $26,045 of members money?

And then there’s cases of mandatory compliance training, required by the NY AG court case for directors and employees. But, some, it looks like, it’s vague, but five directors were permitted to NOT take the mandatory training, as were some- exact number is unclear of employees. But again, the “health” excuse comes up. And yes, I call it an excuse. If one is too unhealthy to perform basic job requirements, and it’s not just a mere case of the flu, but something more severe and long term, then they shouldn’t be in their position. Resign.

P.S. I was being charitable because “reform” has “occurred”, I didn’t bring up the $55,683 in chartered WLP flights… At least one of which current and newly rehired Sec. Frazer was on…
